Our course focus is on a foundation of 'core computing' and introduce you to software development and database design with elements of communication networks and the Internet. This broad base of knowledge is supported by robust professional skills that are vital to teamwork, problem-solving and career development. In the later stages you develop more specialised abilities in areas that best fit your career aspirations.
Assessment
Assessment is seen as an integral part of learning and assessment criteria are linked to individual module learning outcomes. Assessment methods include practical assessments, reports and essays, analysis of case studies, oral presentations, seminar papers, project work, Personal Development Portfolio, examinations and unseen class tests. Assessment will involve both individual and group / team-based assignments.
