Course Description
AIMS This MSc is designed for graduates with an accounting, economics or finance background who wish to develop their understanding of banking and finance. The programme is particularly aimed at those interested in a career in retail banking, central banking, investment banking, financial research or financial trading. PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION You take compulsory modules (70 credits), optional modules (50 credits) and write a dissertation (60 credits). Compulsory modules typically include: financial derivatives central banking retail and investment banking econometrics and research methods. You also select optional modules from topics such as: behavioural finance credit risk modelling financial theory and corporate policy international money and banking legal and regulatory aspects of banking supervision legal and regulatory aspects of money laundering and financial crime risk and insurance fixed income securities.
