Course Description

AIMS This programme is accredited by the Institute of Measurement and Control. It trains you in the application of advanced process control, providing you with an understanding of the industrial processes, the potential of modern control theory, and how to implement methodologies in an effective manner. PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION MSc students take taught modules (120 credits) and a dissertation (60 credits). Diploma students take taught modules (60 credits) and a dissertation (60 credits). Subject areas include: chemical engineering process control optimisation artificial neural networks modelling and simulation control of unit operations statistical process control data analysis and reconciliation for control and modern process control. Your dissertation is based on a research project which, where possible, includes an industry-related project in the field of chemical, biochemical, or food and materials processing. Entry Requirements

A lower-second-class Honours degree (BEng or BSc), or equivalent, in engineering or a pure applied science subject. We will also consider applicants on an individual basis with relevant industrial experience.
