It is designed for students who have studied Classics, Classical Civilisation, or Ancient History at undergraduate level and are particularly interested in the narrative literature of Greece and Rome. The MA includes a training elementresearch folder, designed to equip students to undertake advanced work in Ancient Narrative Literature and to assist them in producing a research-based dissertation. In addition, students study Greek or Latin language. If students have previous knowledge of these languages they must take either Advanced Greek or Advanced Latin. There is a variety of optional modules whose exact composition may vary from year to year. Optional modules are also offered via the Welsh Video Network from staff who teach at the University of Lampeter. The following is a representative selection. Entry Requirements

The typical entry requirement is a first degree in Classics, Classical Civilisation or a related background in Arts and Humanities, normally an upper second or above, or equivalent. Overseas students are expected to possess an IELTS score of 6.5.
