There is one compulsory research methodologies module (20 cr). All students will be required to study Greek and Latin at an appropriate level (60 cr), and a choice of two specialised modules (2 x 20 cr). On successful completion of Part 1 and student can proceed to Part 2, the 60 credit dissertation. Swansea has the largest grouping of Classicists in Wales who are internationally acknowledged for research strength in ancient narrative. Library holdings are exceptionally strong in this area, offering a wide selection of books, articles and journals. Entry Requirements

The typical entry requirement is a first degree in Classics, Classical Civilisation or a related background in Arts and Humanities, normally an upper second or above, or equivalent. Overseas students are expected to possess an IELTS score of 6.5.
