See http:www.swansea.ac.ukpostgraduateopendays for dates and booking information _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The MA in Early Modern History is designed for students who are particularly interested in studying the period of history that runs from the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries, and encompasses the Renaissance, Reformation and Counter Reformation, and the Enlightenment. The wide-ranging expertise of Swansea's early modern historians means that students on the scheme may study British, European, American, or Asian history, and can explore topics in the history of art and culture, empire, gender, politics, religion, sexuality and science. Students on the MA benefit not only from the unusual concentration of early modernists in the History Department, but also from the existence of Swansea's Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Research (MEMO), and from the Institute for Medieval & Early Modern Studies Video Link Research Seminars, which are participated in by Institutions of Higher Education across the Principality Students take three 20-credit core modules and three 20-credit elective modules in Part I of the degree. Students successful in Part I may continue to Part II of the MA, comprised by the 60-credit Dissertation.
