Course Description

This course will provide students with the technical knowledge and skills needed to develop these skills. This course allows for specialisation in the field of geotechnical engineering. An introduction into the broader civil engineering subjects will be followed by a choice of specialised optional modules on your chosen theme. The course will concentrate on the technical knowledge and skills that are most relevant to the field of geotechnical engineering for the award of MSc in Civil Engineering: Geotechnical Engineering. Students will develop: the ability to communicate ideas effectively in written reports, verbally and by means of presentations to groups the ability to exercise original thought the ability to plan and undertake an individual project interpersonal, communication and professional skills Following the successful completion of the taught modules, a major individual project on an issue related to your chosen subject theme is undertaken over the summer term. Entry Requirements

2.1 (Upper 2nd class hons degree or international equivalent) Applicants need to have studied multiple courses in Structures, Management and Fluids
