Course Description

This course allows for specialisation in the field of environmental fluid mechanics. An introduction into the broader civil engineering subjects will then be followed with a choice of specialised optional modules of your chosen theme. The course will concentrate on the technical knowledge and skills that are most relevant to the field of environmental fluid mechanics for the award of MSc in Civil Engineering: Environmental Fluid Mechanics. Students will develop: the ability to communicate ideas effectively in written reports, verbally and by means of presentations to groups the ability to exercise original thought the ability to plan and undertake an individual project interpersonal, communication and professional skills Following the successful completion of the taught modules, a major individual project on an issue related to your chosen subject theme is undertaken over the summer term. Entry Requirements

2.1 (Upper 2nd class hons degree or international equivalent) Applicants need to have studied multiple courses in Structures, Geotechnics and Fluids
