Auckland College is a small independent school with firm ambitions for the future. Built on strong principals of respect, tolerance and self-discipline the school has gone from strength to strength in the early years of its development. With a growing reputation there is a recognition amongst staff that we have embarked on a very special journey and it is our ambition that Auckland College will develop into a school that becomes part of the rich heritage of the city for many years to come.
The school moved to its new home in Aigburth in 2003. The building was extremely ambitious but has resulted in excellent facilities and resources for our staff and pupils. The school has developed a core staff group who are deeply committed to the school and our aims for the future.
We have sought to develop individual levels of responsibility amongst pupils through positive reinforcement of the school’s ethos and encouraging self-discipline. Problems associated with bullying, racism and sexism are non-existent in Auckland College. This is engrained through the school’s ethos rather than being found on posters on walls to remind pupils.
The school is now consistently achieving GCSE and A Level Results well above the national average and we will not be complacent in maintaining our status as one of the best schools in the city.
We are currently developing our Sixth Form service to offer an even wider curriculum and with the exciting development of our Nursery, Auckland House, the school is an exciting place to be at the moment.
Auckland College has achieved so much in its first decade and we would welcome you to be part of this exciting story in our city.
