In 2013 UIC joined the ISIS Education Group.

 

We are still offering the same high quality language we have always offered but as part of  a larger group we are able to offer you more.

 

We have recently completely refurbished the school, we now have 18 classrooms, interactive whiteboards, wifi, computers, a student room.

 

In important ways we are still the same - able to offer you the same high quality of care and  teaching in this fantastic location. All the reasons for coming to London and improving your Enlgish are still there, and the school is still the biggest award winner of all London schools. In the last 5 years we won the Language Travel award for STAR language school in Europe TWICE and was shortlisted on 2 other occasions, additionally we won the British Council ELTon award for innovation. UIC was founded in 1997 and gained British Council Accreditation in 1999; we started teaching Foreign Languages in 1999 and ran our first Residential summer School for teenagers in 2006. The school was originally located in James Street - just off Oxford Street near Bond Street and we operated there until 2006 when we moved to our current premises in Mortimer Street. In 2013 we taught around 5000 students. The school was originally founded by the Japan Centre Group. In 2005 it was bought by Neil Upton and David Wilkins and operated until 2013. In 2013 the school joined and is now owned by the ISIS Education Group.

 

This group provides a variety of educational services; running 4 year round schools in the UK (in Greenwich, Brighton and Oxford as well as central London), and 2 schools in Canada (in Toronto and Vancouver). In the UK ISIS run 17 summer centres and teach over 12000 students each year. ISIS also runs Teacher Training courses in Greenwich and Brighton, owns and runs the Oxford Tutorial College offering A level courses and University Foundation Year courses and several companies offering educational trips abroad to schools.
